Winding Down

IMG_1998We are winding down our travelling and spending the last week in Buenos Aires.  When we first arrived here in November 2013, we were decidedly underwhelmed by the city.  Bob didn’t really have any expectations, but I thought it would be more.  More of what I couldn’t tell you, but after hearing about the place for so many years, and wanting to come here to dance Argentine Tango, I had some expectations that the place didn’t really live up to.

Anyway, I have been getting tired of all of the travelling and moving around these last 5 months and I thought it would be a good idea to give Buenos Aires a second chance. We are renting an apartment on the edge of the Palermo and Recoletta neighbourhoods.  We finally have a chance to cook for ourselves and not worry about waking up in time to have our breakfast that was included in the price of our hotel or hostel!  We are not in a rush for anything!

We plan on visiting Museums and Art Galleries and experiencing other cultural delights.  We didn’t go into anything the last time we were here because we knew we would be back.  So far we have visited the National Museum of Decorative Arts and the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes.  Both museums are not to be missed!
