Walk 4: A Walk From Seaford to Cuckmere Haven and Back

I had a much needed week off last week catching up with Bob and other things, but the weather hadn’t been very promising for taking long walks until the weekend.  Now that Bob is back from Sharm we are trying to get back into our hill walking to prepare us for trekking to Machu Picchu.   We are slowly working our way through East Sussex & the South Downs Walks.

We finally got lucky on Saturday and opted for Walk 7 – Cuckmere Haven from Seaford.  I have been to Cuckmere Haven many times, but I have only come to it from Eastbourne and never from the other side where you can get amazing views of The Seven Sisters.  As we needed to look at a few things in Peacehaven, it made sense to park the car in Seaford and take the coastal path to Cuckmere Haven.  There is a slightly steep bit at the beginning of the walk, but the rest of it is fairly easy with lovely views all around.  On sunny days when we take a walk along the coast, Bob and I are extremely grateful to live where we do as it is very beautiful here.

Walk 4 Seaford to CuckmereHere we are with the beautiful Seven Sisters!  We plan on walking there and back from Eastbourne!  Soon!  Really!
